Terms in Sånn
This page explains the terms you meet on the pricing page and in Sånn. For individual features, see the Frequently Asked Questions.
Binder
Section titled “Binder”A binder is your digital ring binder. It is where you collect your content and give others access to it, and it is the top level in Sånn: everything you see lives in a binder. The content can be videos, documents, images, links and text boxes, and the binder is presented to your users with your logo, colours and profile.
Just like a paper binder, a binder can consist of several topics and a lot of content. The topics are the dividers that separate the content into tidy parts.
Binder without topics and binder with topics
Section titled “Binder without topics and binder with topics”- Binder without topics (Start): like an elastic binder for simple needs. All content is collected in a single list with no dividers.
- Binder divided into topics (Plus and above): like a ring binder with dividers. You organise content into named topics, which work like tabs or chapters in the binder. See Organise.
Groups
Section titled “Groups”Groups collect the users in your binder, so you can give access to specific content to many people at once instead of naming them one by one. For example, you can restrict a topic to specific groups. See Groups and Publish.
How binders are counted
Section titled “How binders are counted”Each binder you create counts as one, regardless of how many topics and how much content it contains. Each plan includes a set number of binders:

If you need more binders than your plan includes, you can buy extra binders as an add-on, or upgrade your plan.
When the quota is reached
Section titled “When the quota is reached”The same applies to storage and traffic: once you have used up the quota, you cannot add more content to the binder. You can then delete content you do not need, buy more capacity (Pro and Enterprise) or upgrade your plan. See Storage and traffic.
App only
Section titled “App only”App only applies to Start and is about how the content reaches the recipients. The administrator creates and manages the content in the administration interface (admin.saann.app), but the people who will view the content need the Sånn app (saann.app). From Plus and above, the content is available both on the web and in the app.
